BdREN Highlights Digital Innovation and AI-Enabled Higher Education at COMPAS 2026
Dhaka, 10 October 2026: The Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) participated as a Technology Partner in the IEEE 3rd International Conference on Computing, Applications and Systems (COMPAS 2026), held on 9–10 October 2026 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference brought together researchers, academics, technology professionals, and enthusiasts to exchange knowledge, present research findings, and explore emerging developments in computing and related fields.
As part of its partnership, BdREN established a dedicated stall at the conference to demonstrate its digital services and technological solutions to researchers, faculty members, and other participants. The stall provided an opportunity for attendees to learn about BdREN’s role in strengthening research and education through advanced digital infrastructure, connectivity, collaboration tools, and technology-enabled academic services.
Through direct engagement with conference participants, BdREN aimed to raise awareness of its services and explore opportunities to support research, teaching, learning, and academic collaboration across higher education institutions in Bangladesh.
On the second day of the conference, BdREN Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Tawrit conducted a plenary session titled “Beyond AI Adoption: Redefining Teaching, Assessment and Research in Higher Education.” The session focused on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in higher education and the need to rethink teaching practices, assessment approaches, and research activities in response to emerging AI capabilities.
His participation highlighted the importance of institutional collaboration, digital infrastructure, and technology-enabled transformation in preparing higher education institutions to respond to the opportunities and challenges associated with artificial intelligence.
