BdREN Co-Sponsors BitFest 2025 at KUET: Inspiring Innovation and Collaboration
BdREN proudly co-sponsored BitFest 2025, a vibrant technology festival and competition organized by the Department of CSE at KUET. The event, held on January 3-4, 2025, on the KUET campus in Khulna, brought together students from KUET and other similar universities across Bangladesh. BdREN served as the title sponsor of the Inter-University Programming Contest, one of the festival's flagship events.
The festival was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mohammad Mashud, Vice-Chancellor of KUET, with CTO-BdREN Ekhlas Uddin Ahmed joining the ceremony alongside prominent figures, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sk. Shariful Alam, Faculty of EEE Dean Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, and Director of Student Welfare Professor Dr. Mohammad Sultan Mahmud. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. M.M.A. Hashem, Head of the CSE Department, KUET. Themed "Technology-Creativity-Collaboration," the festival featured sub-events in programming, robotics, gaming, data analytics, and entrepreneurship, aiming to foster leadership, creativity, and innovation among participants.
In his speech, CTO-BdREN highlighted BdREN's role as the nation's primary research facilitator, committed to advancing digitalization in education and research. He outlined BdREN's extensive range of services, including eduroam, HPC, Cloud Services, Smart Classrooms, Federated e-Resource Access, and Campus Network Design. Emphasizing BdREN's mission to create a "Researchers' Heaven", he encouraged closer collaboration between academia and industry, particularly between KUET and BdREN, to strengthen research and education ecosystems.
CTO-BdREN concluded by commending the organizers of BitFest 2025 and reaffirming BdREN's dedication to empowering Bangladesh's academic community through cutting-edge digital services and solutions.
