SUB CSE Students Visit BdREN Corporate Office and Data Center
On December 19, 2024, students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of the State University of Bangladesh (SUB) visited the BdREN Corporate Office in Navana HR Tower, Niketon, Dhaka, and the BdREN Data Center at UGC Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka. The group, accompanied by two faculty members, was warmly welcomed by Ekhlas Uddin Ahmed, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of BdREN.
The visit began at the BdREN Corporate Office, where a series of informative presentations were delivered by key BdREN experts:
- KH Rashedul Arefin, Manager, Data Center
- Md. Arifur Rahman, Manager, Data and Transmission
- Jamilur Rahman, Network Engineer
- Abu Naser Md Nafew, Network Engineer
The sessions offered an in-depth look into BdREN’s operations, services, cloud computing and the technical challenges involved in maintaining a nationwide research and education network. These interactions provided the students with a clear understanding of the practical applications of their academic studies.
Following the presentations, the group moved to the BdREN Data Center at UGC Bhaban. There, the students had the opportunity to explore the Data Center and Operation Center, gaining hands-on insights into how BdREN ensures uninterrupted connectivity and manages complex IT operations.
The day-long program, which began at 10:00 AM and concluded at 4:00 PM, was an enriching experience for the students. They expressed their enthusiasm about learning how cutting-edge technologies are implemented in real-world scenarios, which will greatly benefit their professional development.
