KUET ECE Students Visit BdREN Data Center and Operation Center
On December 18, 2024, a group of students from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) visited the BdREN Data Center and Operation Center at UGC Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka. They were accompanied by two faculty members from KUET.
The visit provided the students with an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to advanced data center operations and network management. During their visit, the students explored BdREN's Data Center and Operation Center, earning valuable insights into how these facilities function to support seamless connectivity and services for higher education institutions across Bangladesh.
As part of the program, informative presentations were delivered by BdREN experts:
- KH Rashedul Arefin, Manager of the Data Center, shared an overview of BdREN’s operations and services.
- Abu Naser Md Nafew, Network Engineer, introduced the students to the Tigerfed and its functionalities.
These presentations, held in the UGC Auditorium, offered interactive sessions where students and faculty deepened their understanding of BdREN's infrastructure, including its 40 Gbps FNA cluster and its vital role in enhancing digital connectivity and efficiency for educational institutions.
The program commenced at 10:00 AM and concluded at 2:00 PM, followed by a lunch arranged for the participants.
