Second Security Awareness Community Workshop from Geant
We are cordially inviting our Bangladeshi Research and Education community to join this free workshop on Second Security Awareness Community Workshop from Geant. Here's an invitation from our fellow NREN Belnet:
Following the success of our first workshop at the GÉANT Security Days in April 2024, we are thrilled to invite you to the second meeting of the GÉANT Security Awareness Community which will take place online on 12 November.
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Kristin Weber, Vice President for Digitalisation and CIO at the Technical University Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS), as our keynote speaker. Prof. Weber will explore the four key behaviours in cyber security, introducing the COM-B model – a science-based framework that identifies essential components for behavioural change.
In interactive break-out sessions, participants will apply the COM-B model to practical security awareness scenarios, such as reporting malicious messages and safe authentication practices. The sessions will be moderated by members of the Subtask Awareness, ensuring a dynamic and collaborative learning environment.
To conclude, KU Leuven will share their security awareness programme 'e-mune', offering insights on how they built a culture of information security among staff and students.
This workshop is open to all security awareness professionals, whether you are just starting out or have years of experience. Please note that active participation is required during the break-out discussions.
