Empowering IDG Colleges: BdREN Hosts IT Infrastructure Training in Chattogram
In a remarkable stride, BdREN conducted its second "Hands-on Training on IT Infrastructure" for the IDG Colleges under the National University from the Chattogram Zone on October 6, 2024, at Chittagong College. The first event of this series was previously held in Khulna.
The event was chaired by the principal of the hosting college, Prof. Mohammad Mojahedul Islam Chowdhury. Key attendees included Mohammad Tawrit, CEO of BdREN, Prof. Jaheda Sultana, Principal of Rangamati College, and Prof. Subrato Bikash Barua, Vice Principal of Chittagong College. During his welcome speech, the BdREN CEO outlined the purpose and structure of the training, highlighting its importance for the participating institutions.
In his remarks, the Chair commended BdREN’s initiative in holding such a valuable awareness development and training session at his institution. At the same time, he emphasized the need for improved connectivity ensuring better quality-of-services for the beneficiaries in the campus.
Md. Ariful Islam, Manager (Data & Transmission) at BdREN, presented on BdREN's operations under the College Education Development Project (CEDP), covering the pros and cons of the project and discussing its overall performance.
The training was attended by the principals and ICT focal persons of eleven IDG colleges in the Chattogram Zone that are part of the CEDP. The main training session was led by Md. Kamrul Hasan Shakil, Network Engineer (NOC), who equipped the college representatives with essential knowledge on network infrastructure and connectivity mechanisms. This series of trainings will continue sequentially across different zones
