Industrial Visit of CSE Department of NITER at BdREN Data Center
In an endeavor to foster practical learning experiences and bridge the gap between academia and industry, students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) undertook a comprehensive industrial visit at BdREN. Divided into two groups, the visit spanned two days, each filled with insightful sessions and hands-on learning opportunities.
The program was inaugurated by Mr. Ekhlas Uddin Ahmed, Chief Technical Officer, BdREN, accompanied by Mr. Biplab Chandra Mahanta, Manager (HR & Admin). Their presence marked the commencement of an enriching program aimed at equipping students with real-world insights and practical knowledge. As a surprise package, the country’s renowned Brand and Communication expert, HR Consultant and TV Anchor Ferdous Bappy rendered a valuable speech on life-skill and professional fulfillment towards the students.
The program featured an array of engaging activities that provided the students with a holistic understanding of network and system administration, virtualization, network monitoring and the operations of the BdREN Network. With a view to offering in-depth insights, three accomplished BdREN Network Engineers took center stage on both days, conducting separate sessions with the enthusiastic students. Moreover, the students have the opportunity to visit BdREN’s state to the art data center which certainly came as answer to their many theoretical queries.
As the visit concluded, students departed with a fresh bucket of newfound knowledge, industry insights, and heightened enthusiasm for their chosen field. The NITER Department of Computer Science and Engineering expressed its gratitude to BdREN for extending its support and expertise, underscoring the importance of such collaborations in enriching the academic journey of students.
