BdREN Signs an Agreement with BSMRAAU for Building Campus Network at its Lalmonirhat Campus
An agreement was signed between BdREN and BSMRAAU on 28 March 2023 at the Registrar Office in its BSMRAAU Dhaka Campus. The agreement was signed by Honorable Registrar, BSMRAAU and CEO, BdREN from respective sides.
Under this agreement BdREN has been assigned with the responsibility of building a state-of-the-art structured campus network in BSMRAAU Lalmonirhat campus. The network will include both wired and wireless mode of connectivity, installation of laboratory connectivity and data center infrastructure.
It is to be mentioned that the said network was built by BdREN in June 2022 getting the nodding from BSMRAAU authority in May 2022. With special requirements to build the network in quickest possible time, BdREN used access-switches from its own inventory and with imported wireless access-points to bring the network up and running in only one month time. This demonstrates the efficiency and promptness of BdREN in delivering services to meet its member institutions demand.
The 100Mbps internet connectivity in the Lalmonirhat campus is being delivered through VPN service established between BdREN and BTCL.
BdREN hopes that the bonding between BSMRAAU and BdREN, established through signing of this contract, will continue showering more benefits for the former in future. The signing ceremony was also attended by Dr. Mohammad Farooq Ali Tarafder, CAFO, BdREN; Md. Ariful Islam, Manager (Data and Transmission) and Liton Sharma, System Analyst, BSMRAAU.
