
Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir joined BdREN as Trustee
Professor Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Member, University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh has joined BdREN Board of Trustees as “Inductee Trustee” to fill out the vacant position created at the departure of Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, on expiry of the tenure of the later.
After serving two consecutive terms as Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) he joined UGC as a full-time member on 16 June 2019.
Professor Alamgir was born in Chandpur in 1963. He obtained his BSc and MSc Degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). He did his Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Degree from Saga University, Japan.
A total of 242 research papers of Professor Alamgir have been published in national and international journals so far.
Since joining UGC, Professor Alamgir has been working relentlessly for creating an environment which helps promoting quality education and research in Bangladesh. During his incumbency in the present position, he had been in charge of BdREN on a few occasions. Moreover, he is a constant adviser and well-wisher of BdREN.
