BdREN Signs MoU with DU to Strengthen Access to eResources
The Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) and University of Dhaka (DU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 10 May 2026 to strengthen collaboration in research and digital resource sharing. The agreement was signed on behalf of BdREN by Mohammad Tawrit, Chief Executive Officer of BdREN, and on behalf of the University of Dhaka by Professor M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Treasurer of the University of Dhaka.
Under the MoU, BdREN will facilitate access to a wide range of e-Resources and digital services for the University of Dhaka, including e-books, e-Journals, research databases, software applications, DOI services, hosting solutions, and other scholarly resources. The collaboration aims to support researchers, teachers, and students through enhanced access to global academic and research content at significantly reduced costs.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing research, innovation, and higher education in Bangladesh. Through BdREN’s national research and education network infrastructure and digital resource platform, the University of Dhaka will be able to expand its access to internationally reputed academic resources and services.
The MoU will remain effective for an initial period of five years and will support future cooperation in the procurement, subscription, and management of electronic resources and research services.
Representatives from both organizations attended the signing ceremony, including CMO Ekhlas Uddin Ahmed and Professor Dr. Kazi Mostak Gausul Hoq as witnesses to the agreement.
