The recent bdNOG 20 conference served as a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and technological advancement, and BdREN was at the heart of the action.A team of our skilled engineers attended the event as trainer to lead a 3-day hands-on training program and also presented a critical case study about BdREN’s recent innovative development in cloud system. In addition to those active participations, we have sponsored to this prestigious event, which continues the manifestation of BdREN-BdNOG collaboration.

The engagement began with a comprehensive 3-day workshop on "Virtualization with Proxmox VE," focusing on building an enterprise-level private cloud, which was meticulously designed and conducted by our BdREN expert. Khandakar Rashedul Arefin and Jamilur Rahman conducted the whole training sessions. As digital infrastructure becomes increasingly complex, the ability to efficiently manage compute resources is paramount. This hands-on session provided participants from various Industries like ISP, Banks, NTTN etc. with the practical skills needed to deploy and manage a robust, open-source virtualization environment using ProxMox.

Participants delved into the core concepts of virtualization, learning how to manage virtual machines and containers, deploy software-defined storage (SDS) using Ceph, build Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) and establish secure & resilient infrastructure. The workshop was highly interactive, with attendees solving real-world scenarios, which equipped them to optimize their own institutional IT resources, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. The overwhelming positive feedback highlighted the workshop's value in building critical local capacity.

Following the workshop, BdREN took the main conference stage to present a compelling case study on "Application Load Balancing using Kubernetes HPA." As modern applications evolve to be more complex and demand high availability, efficient load balancing has become a cornerstone of reliable digital services.

Our presentation walked the audience through a real-world implementation, detailing how Kubernetes' native and advanced load-balancing capabilities can be leveraged to ensure seamless user experience, distribute traffic efficiently, and maintain application resilience even during peak loads or partial system failures. The case study provided invaluable insights for developers, system administrators, and network engineers looking to build scalable and fault-tolerant applications in a cloud-native world.

This dual contribution at bdNOG 20—from laying the foundational bricks of virtualization to demonstrating the advanced orchestration of containerized applications—perfectly encapsulates BdREN's mission. We are not just a network service provider; we are a catalyst for growth and innovation.

By sharing knowledge and pioneering solutions, we are actively strengthening the backbone of Bangladesh's digital landscape, one workshop and one case study at a time.
