An MoU was signed between BdREN and Varendra University (VU), Rajshahi
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) and Varendra University (VU), Rajshahi on Wednesday, November 09, 2022 with a view to enhancing academic cooperation between BdREN and VU. The MoU signing event took place at VU Conference Hall where Mohammad Tawrit, the Chief Executive Officer of BdREN and Prof. Dr. M. Osman Gani Talukder signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
In line with the MoU BdREN will build a dedicated underground fiber connectivity to VU new campus and will provide an Internet Bandwidth of 1Gbps with an availability of at least 99.95% on a monthly basis. Moreover, BdREN is going to provide Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Virtual Private Servers for the students and the faculty members. Besides, BdREN will design and provide consultancy on framing of BoQ and figuring out estimated budget requirement for Multimedia Classroom and Multipurpose Hall. CEO, BdREN also pledged to extend the consultancy support for VU in its campus network design and implementation if VU is in need of any such assistance.

Shamim Ahsan Parvez, Executive Director, VU; Prof. Dr. Khademul Islam Molla, Department of CSE; and Dr. Mohammad Farooq Ali Tarafder FCMA ACS, the Chief Finance and Finance Officer (CAFO), BdREN were among the others present at the ceremony.
