The signing ceremony of the agreement for maintenance of campus network between Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) was held on 27 December 2022 at 01.00pm at the Academic Council room of CUET. Under the agreement, BdREN will maintain the campus network which was developed under G.74-AF package from HEQEP. The event was preceded by a presentation session on “eFile Application” developed by BdREN.

The ceremony commenced with a speech from Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, honorable Vice-Chancellor of CUET who gave a warm welcome to the representatives from BdREN. He also requested all the faculty members and administrative staff, who were present on the occasion, to have a close look at the BdREN eFile system and try to judge its strengths and weaknesses. Then, Mohammad Tawrit the Chief Executive Officer of BdREN delivered his brief speech highlighting the benefits of BdREN eFile Application over eNothi Application being used mostly by the government officials. Then he requested Abu Naser Md. Nafew, Network Engineer (NOC), BdREN to demonstrate the features of eFile Application. CUET authority well-appreciated the application and expressed their eagerness in using the application. 

The agreement was signed by Mohammad Tawrit, on behalf of BdREN and Prof. Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Humayun Kabir, honorable Registrar, on behalf of CUET. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Alam, Vice-Chancellor, CUET. Others present in the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Abu Hasant Mohammad Ashfak Habib, Director, IICT, CUET; Dr. Mohammad Farooq Ali Tarafder FCMA, ACS, Chief Administrative and Finance Officer, BdREN; Khadakar Rashedul Arefin, Manager (Data Centre), BdREN and a few other faculties and administrative staff of CUET.
