Meeting on Implementation of Distance Learning using DLTs, DCCs, WebRTC and relevant Application System

On 26 January, 2020 Prof. Dr. Masum Rabbi, honorable Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi Medical University, visited Bangladesh Research and Network (BdREN) office to get intimated about the services BdREN has been offering for the higher education, medical and research community and to figure out how Rajshahi Medical University can be benefitted utilizing those services. CEO, BdREN notified Prof. Masum about the coverage of BdREN and the various services it is delivering to the community. Remote participant's: Patch Lee and  B K Kim.

Also a real-life video conferencing session was demonstrated by BdREN Technical Team to honorable Vice Chancellor where Rajshahi Medical College, Rangpur Medical College and Barisal Medical College were connected using the Video Conferencing room installed by BdREN in those institutes. Also, Manager, Data and Transmission, BdREN joined using Cisco WebRTC from his office Laptop. After the initial introduction of the participants Prof. Masum had brief conversation with Prof. Dr. Md. Jawadul Haque who joined from Rajshahi Medical College. 

The honorable Vice-Chancellor expressed his satisfaction with the audio and video quality of the conference as well as the huge setup government has helped BdREN build for the higher education and research community. At the end, Prof. Masum requested CEO, BdREN to submit a proposal which should contain all aspects of Distance Learning and Education that BdREN can offer so that Rajshahi Medical University can make the best use of that.
