BdREN has arranged workshop on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for nominated persons from 34 Public Universities, 12 Private Universities, 2 International Universities, PGCB and UGC. This program was held on 10-12 January 2017 (Group-1) and 17-19 January 2017 (Group-2) at UGC Auditorium.
In the opening ceremony of first batch workshop Sohel Ahmed, Deputy Project Director (Joint Secretary), HEQEP inaugurated the training as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, Member, UGC was present as the President and Dr. M.M.A. Hashem, Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) was present as Special Guest. Professor Abdul Mannan, Chairman, UGC inaugurated the second batch of training as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah was present as the President and Dr. Gauranga Chandra Mohanta, Project Director of HEQEP was also present at the inaugural ceremony of the training as Special Guest.
This workshop was arranged by BdREN resource personnel to operate, maintain & troubleshoot the Campus Network properly. BGP is very essential Internet Protocol to connect these Universities with BdREN. Participants/ Network Engineers who are directly associated with Campus Network Management got proper technical knowledge & hands-on lab facilities for Best Current Operation Practice (BCOP) on this protocol.
